The world's biggest burger

A 1,794 kg cheeseburger has become the world's largest commercially marketed hamburger. It took Detroit's Mallie's Sports Grill & Bar four years to plan how to prepare and execute the beef "monstrosity". And this huge burger has been on the menu ever since!
The restaurant's owner, Steven Mallie, started out making relatively small burgers, as he first made a 10kg burger for his customers. By 2008, he had already got into the speciality of burger making, as that year the Guinness Book of World Records awarded him the title of the biggest commercially sold burger. But after losing the title to a Japanese restaurant's product, Mallie vowed to reclaim her crown as burger king.

The challenge was successful: Mallie cooked 907 kilos of raw meat for a huge burger on a custom-built grill. The burger was topped with 300 pounds of cheese, tomatoes, onions, pickles and lettuce. The bun, donated by Michigan Bread Company, weighed 113 pounds by itself. When it was finally finished, the burger was nearly 1 metre high and 1.5 metres wide, but of course it was fit for gourmets of all parts.

This burger was not just a record-breaking decision, however; a burger weighing nearly 820 kilos is still available on the menu at Mallie's. But if someone wants to order one, it will cost $7799 - ~$2,340,000 - and they'll have to give the restaurant three days' notice. It's worth planning this burger for a special occasion...

Of course, the high quality hamburger buns produced by F&R Partner are not made for such challenges, but for consumers who are fans of delicious flavours, harmonious and authentic hamburgers!
